Just Focus On You! Let It Be Only You Vs. You!

Are you always comparing yourself to others? Are you envious of what others have in their lives? Do you feel like you’re not measuring up and in competition with others, because you’re always looking at what the next person has?

Stop the craziness! Now… I absolutely believe you must look to others to inspire you to strive for more in life, but the real journey has to be within; measuring success only by what you want in life!

Here are some reasons why you should focus within, and just have it be “You vs. You” =)

Reasons to Just Focus on You! Let It Be Only You Vs. You

  • Success is Personal – Everyone wants to love their life and be successful, but what that looks like to you and I may be very different. Develop your success plan on what will make YOU happy. That’s the key to happiness!
  • No one is Perfect – Remember that no one is perfect. Although you may think the next person has the perfect life, like yourself, they have their own challenges to deal with. When you stop comparing yourself to the next person, your focus will be much stronger on what is really important, your road to success.
  • The Journey is Within – Life really begins when you start looking deep within and you start knowing what really makes you happy. Happiness is really an inside job as they say. So forget about all the outside influences and focus in on you, your journey to creating the life you want and deserve.

Going for your dreams is going to require some tough work, persistence and support from others around you. The journey of success and happiness is really an inside job! Don’t worry about what the other person has. The key is for you to figure out what’s best for you and go for it! Remember that you are amazing. When it comes to your success in life, let it be just about you!

Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” -Dr. Seuss

I used to always compare myself to others and always tried to be the best. I still don’t think they’re anything “wrong” with that but like you said, success is personal.

At the end, you should always want to outperform and beat “yourself”. I don’t compare myself to my friends or people around me, but I still always am trying to get more and improve because I’m competitive even with myself.

If you try to put yourself against everyone out there in the world, you’re going to end up disappointed.

First I must say, as I have matured, I have learned the hard way to not focus on what others have and compare myself to them, because as Amir said…you will end up disappointed. I now believe in measuring up only to my own expectations…and I really don’t care what other people think or don’t think about me. They don’t matter—I matter! One more thing that I truly believe….Perfect is Boring!!!
